Mom and I unloaded groceries and then headed out to the beach. She volunteered to carry Carson...knock yourself out girl!

The first morning out on the beach...
This was one of only two trips that Carson made out to the beach. His skin got wind burned this first day so it wasn't until the last day that we took him out again. The beach is great for adults...not so much great for the infants. Next time we go he will be a toddler and able to enjoy it more!

Chris and Stayton bought a boogie board and a skim board while we were there. Chris was determined to master the skim board and he has many bruises to prove it!
Our condo was super nice and we had such a good time relaxing in the mornings, drinking our coffee, and just hanging out..
and the Gordon family never goes anywhere without their guitars!

Each morning a different family was assigned breakfast and each night, a dinner. Here's proof that our husbands CAN be useful in the kitchen!

and the balcony at night....this was probably my favorite part of the day. Carson was asleep in bed and we could go out on the balcony, listen to the waves and have a nice glass of wine!
Family picture night....
My mom hired a photographer to take family portraits while we were there. These are a few snap shots that I took during the session. Wouldn't you know, this was the one time on the trip that Carson was hysterical and screaming. I was a little stressed and not so much into taking pictures. Hopefully they will turn out ok...

I think his favorite part of the trip was having his two grandsons crawl in bed with him in the morning. These boys love their Pops!
Mom and dad kept Stayton and Carson one night while we went out with Anthony and Kara...so much fun!
Kara took probably 100 pictures trying to catch the perfect shot of the dolphins. We all laughed at her :)
We went to the Track to ride go-carts and then the rest of the family stayed to play putt-putt, Chris and I took Carson inside to the air conditioning. But first we had to stop and see the duck on the course!

Kara and I decided that for our souvineer we would get Henna tattoos. Oh, the bravery!
It was fun getting them, and even more fun to see the husbands' reactions. They complianed because we spent $20 on fake tattoos. Oh well!
The last night we went to a new place called The Hangout. It was just down the beach from our condo and it was great! If you ever make it to Gulf Shores you must check this place out!
All in all we had a wonderful trip. I would highly recommend our condo if you ever plan on visiting GS. Now it's back to life, back to reality (oh, I sense a horrible En Vogue song comming on...yikes!)

So glad y'all had such a great time and that Carson did so well. Next time will be easier when you can stay down at the beach more. I take it y'all didn't like the Dolphin Cruise? :) I was telling Conn about it for next year. Guess not!?! I hate that we missed the Hideout. We never even saw it. Hope to see you soon!
Sorry...The Hangout! :)
