Slowly Going Insane

This week I decided to tackle the task of planning Carson's 2nd birthday (seriously? can't believe he is almost two!). I thought we'd go with a Mickey Mouse theme since the kid is obsessed! Plus, red happens to be my favorite color and Mickey is pretty cute to decorate with. No granted, I have tons (and I mean tons) of things on my to do list to get ready for these baby girls. But instead of doing all of that, I decided to get crafty and make his invitations and cup cake toppers. Sure, I could have come up with something easier, but hey, this will be fun! Right?
So I proceeded to fire up the good 'ol Cricut machine and cut...
and cut...
and cut...
and then glue...
and then glue...

Friends, I am not going to lie. I am tired of looking at Mickey!

Guess I will take a break this weekend. We are enlisting the help of friends in the next few days to come over and help paint Carson's big boy room and the nursery. Why on earth did I choose to paint the walls such dark colors to begin with? This time around I am going for much lighter tones for both the girls and Carson. I can't wait to get his big boy room set up and surprise him with it! I can see it now...LOTS of long nights ahead of us and MUCH jumping on the bed. But isn't that what little boys are for?? Remind me later when I am knee deep in frustration that I said this.
As for our baby girls. I am almost 27 weeks along and I can't believe it! I am feeling great, minus the rapidly growing belly! The weird thing about carrying twins is that these little stinkers already have personalities in the womb! Baby A is very laid back. Rarely kicks and seems to only wake up when baby sister kicks her. Baby B, on the other hand, is going to be our drama queen! She is constantly on the move and really likes to nag her sister. I told Chris yesterday that when we are in the hospital and I am too emotional to remember, for him to please make sure the doctor tells us which baby is A and which is B. I want to see these two little faces and know which one kept me up all night :)! I think it will be so fun to see how their little identities are different even though they are identical twins. Crazy how God is so creative!
I will for sure post pictures after our weekend of paint-a-palooza around here! I must now return to my Cricut...

All I can say is over acheiver!!! And yes, you will regret saying that boys are made for jumping on beds after the girls are here and all you want is to nap and Carson keeps getting out of bed.
