The Rebound

First of all, I need to give a huge, heart-felt thank you to all you sweet friends. Your words of encouragement truly blessed me. And lo and behold, I think I am getting back to where I need to be! But I must be honest, this is due in large part to my truly awesome husband. Have you ever had one of those times when you thought Thank you Lord for sending this man to me, thank you for speaking through him. This past week I had that moment. As evident by my last post, I was throwing myself a little pity party. Life is rough now, I am not going to lie. But instead of focusing on the gifts God's given us, my mind so easily wandered to all that is difficult right now. But Chris, in the best way he could, sat me down last week and was brutally honest. He spoke with assurance and faith, knowing that God is working in our family right now. It was just enough of a pep talk to snap me back into gear.
My big complaint to him was that due to my extreme lack of sleep and time, I honestly don't have much time to spend reading my bible. And when I do have time, there's no way I could keep my eyes open while reading. To this, Chris suggested me just spending 5 minutes a day sitting quietly and listening to praise and worship music. I took him up on the offer and bought this album on i-tunes. Have you heard this yet? It's incredible and definitely worth the money! Of course, listening to worship music prepared my heart and made me truly desire to read my bible, despite the lack of sleep. Funny how the Lord works like that. Things are beginning to turn around now. My mom is off for the summer and has been a HUGE help. Her and dad even spent a night this past week and got up with the girls so that Chris and I could sleep. Wow. Have I mentioned that my parents are amazing?! I am also joining a Tuesday night summer bible study and I cannot wait to dig into the Word with a group of fun girls. The twins get their first round of vaccines next week, so of course I am making all sorts of plans to get out of the house once that happens.
All in all, I finally feel like I might be coming out of my funk. Praise the Lord for sweet sweet friends and for a husband who can tell me when to snap out of it. Here's hoping that this week is much better than the last!

And just for fun, here's a look into our days around here...
We sleep on the couch:
We try to stay awake in our bouncy seat:
We stare at ceiling fans:
Sometimes we fall over:

Eventually we give up and fall asleep and dream about something funny:
We even all try to pose for a picture, but it normally turns out like this:
