So we got a little crazy. We decided to pack up all 3 kids and my parents and travel to Plano to visit by brother, SIL, and nephew. We were optimistic. This was going to be fun! Not only that, but we were going to drop mom, dad, and the girls off in Plano and then take Carson to the Great Wolf Lodge. Ever heard of it? Oh my. It was FUN. And it was just the three of us for the night. Like old times. Then we returned to Plano to visit the rest of the family. Here is the story of our crazy trip...
We aimed to leave at 7 AM. We were on the road by 9. Anyone reading this who has children can sympathize. Things rarely ever go as planned with little ones around. Here are mom and Carson in the car.
He's not really crying. This is his fake cry. And it drive me absolutely nuts. He only fake cries when the twins are crying in the car. It's his attempt to send me to the nut house, I just know it!
Oops! Just realized that both of those pictures are of the same baby. Darn it. Sorry Carleigh, guess mommy forgot to get a picture of you sleeping. Just imagine the same looking baby, but in a grey/green car seat.
Once we got to Plano, we quickly unloaded the car, and fed the girls. When we show up everyone has to pitch in, this time it was my nephew, Stayton's, turn.

{don't get me wrong, I missed them plenty, but it was nice to spend some quality time with my first baby and husband}
Here are Carson and daddy in front of the hotel Carson would NOT turn and look at the camera. He was much too afraid of the big big wolfs!

Trying to get Carson to put on his swimsuit. The kid would rather push around the luggage cart.

See Carson shooting that stranger with water? It's pretty much what he wanted to do the entire time we were there.

Next to the luggage cart, this was his 2nd favorite thing to do. Climb on the trash can and turn the lights off and on. Awesome.

That night we headed down to the hotel lobby for story time. Carson loved it!

The next morning (after a 12 hour night of sleep, praise Jesus!) my dad and nephew came up to the water park for the morning. Chris and I took advantage of the extra hands and snuck away to ride some of the water slides. We had such a great time!

My parents best friends stopped by to meet the girls!

Disclaimer for these next few photos. See the girls outfits? Aren't they to die for?!? I bought the fabric months before they were even born. See, I even blogged about it here. I had great ambition to get the outfits made before the girls got here, but that didn't happen. So I enlisted the help of my terribly talented grandma. She did not disappoint! I think the girls look oh-so-adorable in their new clothes!

We also took some time to celebrate Aunt Kara's birthday!
It was so wonderful to see my brother and his precious family. Oh my word we miss them so much. Believe it or not, we did survive the trip and it was well worth it. But Monday night Chris and I were so terribly tired. It will be a long while before we attempt to travel with all 5 of again!
