#2 - I don't like play dates. That's right, I said it. I don't like them. I thought I did, in fact, it's only been in the past week or two that I have realized I don't like them. I think it's because I have 3 kids. It's just too much for me to try to watch all 3 of them and try to have a conversation with anyone else. It's just too hard and it wears me out. This doesn't mean I will never have another play date, it just means I need a good week or two between such events in order to recover from them.
#3 - I have a secret desire to live in a small town. I grew up in a big city and have never known anything different. But, raising my kids in a small town just seems so appealing to me. {don't get me wrong, by small town I don't mean tiny, I just mean smaller than the one we are in now - a girl's still gotta have good shopping and eating, right?!}
#4 - I talk to my mom probably 8-10 times a day. I love her and call her for just about everything. She loves it, I'm sure :)!
#5 - I didn't get my driver's license until I was almost 18. I didn't have a car to drive so didn't think there was any point in taking driver's ed. When I found out I was getting a car, I quickly signed up!
#6 - When I am pregnant, the one thing I crave is cold, spiral pasta with Italian dressing and parmesan cheese on top. It's been the only consistent craving in all 3 pregnancies.
#7 - Before Carson was born I was diagnosed with otosclerosis. If untreated, I would have been completely deaf within 2 years. Praise God for an awesome ENT that did surgery on both of my ears.
#8 - My dad was a high school head basketball coach for most of my childhood. In elementary, I dubbed myself the team cheerleader. My mom made me my own uniform. I wore it to every game. During half time I would march out on center court, in front of the entire crowd. I stood there until they got quiet, then I began my half time performance. In front of the entire crowd! I remember thinking that I was such a good cheerleader and could jump so high. Looking back at pictures, my feet barely made it off the floor. Don't know how my mom sat there and watched me. If that were one of my girls, I think I might crawl under the bleachers.
#9 - Before I became a mom I was an 11th grade English teacher. I loved my job. It was challenging and the hours were long, but there was nothing else I could have imagined doing. Teaching literature was fun to me. Teaching AP strategies was awesome. Gosh I sound like a dork!
#10 - I started a scripture memory challenge with one of my sweet friends. I am supposed to have memorized 6 scriptures from the bible by now - I have only managed to memorize 2. Ugh! I will catch up though!!
So what about you? Care to share 10 things we may not know about you??

I am usually pretty silent---but i have so many comments on this one: 1)what is the name of the lip gloss?
2) I'm not pregnant but now you have me craving spiral pasta...and I'm trying to diet
3) I can remember "performing" at some of those halftimes with you
4) I miss you guys...it feels like it has been forever!
I had to laugh about the playdate comment. I loved playdates when all of my friends had 1 child each...a few toddlers playing while the mom's chatted away. Once everyone started having the second (and third) babies, it got so chaotic and LOUD. After that, I much preferred park or pool playdates!
Like you, I am not a fan of play dates. I would rather just have an evening with just girls and let the hubbies have the kids. Also I was 18 when I got my license. I might just have to try that lip plump gloss.
you KNOW #9 is only true because of people like Kiera and me =)
hahaah...i can totally see you doing your cheers!!
I just typed out something really long... haha like you want to hear that!
