A little late, but worth the wait!

We spent Easter weekend here:

But getting there was quite a chore with our kids. Sweet Carson was packed in with all the luggage!

The first thing on our list to do was hit the pool. Carson was ready to go (this might be my favorite picture of him ever!)
Caroline met a friend, daddy wasn't too happy with her flirtatious ways.

Carson decided that the baby pool was a great place to practice diving. By the look on my face you can tell that I didn't approve.

Dinner was served out on the patio.

Good thing, because these chicks are messy!

The next day we headed to the beach.
See how far we were from the water? Yep, that's because Galveston is lined with nasty, smelly seaweed.
So we played in the sand far, far away from the stink.

This little boy had a blast.
We had enough of the sand, and headed back up to the pool.

Cousin Stayton is probably Carson's favorite person.
Here they are together waiting for their Easter presents from Mimi.

And of course, the girls get a little something too.

Back out to the pool (and notice this is their 3rd swim suit for the trip. And they have one more that they didn't wear. Hey, like I told Chris, they needed them!
We actually decided to brave the sand and seaweed again.

The girls just wanted to eat it.

And Carson wanted to throw it.

We spent our mornings like this.

And we celebrated Uncle Anthony's birthday.

We had a fantastic, relaxing weekend with family. It was indeed needed.
Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice.
Thank you, Saviour, for our redemption.
Thank you, Father, for my family.
