Yes, I am unhappy to report that Chris and I are back from Maui. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely happy to be back with sweet Carson, but boy do I miss Maui! And let me tell you, this is the way to travel! Since Chris won the trip through work we didn't have to plan a thing, the company took care of all the details. They picked us up from the airport, gave us spending money while we were there, had our rental car delivered to us at the hotel and even had gifts delivered to our room each evening. Wow - this was the life!
I was very worried about leaving Carson and I for sure cried the morning that I had to hand him over to my mom and walk out the door (uggh!) but as soon as I called home from Maui and knew that he was doing well, I was ok. Besides, the trip was a much needed break fro Chris and I. After 4 months of bed rest and then a newborn, it was time for us to get to be together again. God just has a way of working these things out, doesn't he?
I am now in the midst of many loads of laundry and trying to adjust to being up at night again with Carson (praise the Lord for sleep in Maui!). I will definitely post pictures soon...we bought a new little camera for the trip and I can't figure out how to download he pics. As soon as the husband wakes up from his nap I will get him to do it. Pictures to come...
