Lately....

Sorry for the long delay of postings.  It's just that things haven't been very blog-worthy lately.  But have no fear...this coming week will make up for that.  CARSON TURNS ONE TOMORROW!  I honestly cannot even count the number of ways that the little baby boy we brought home from the hospital 365 days ago has changed our lives.  We have a party to prepare for, family to welcome into town, and gifts to open all in the next week.  But more on that later...here's what we've been doing lately...

Carson loves the digital camera.  We must take hundreds to pictures of ourselves and then show them to him.  Praise the Lord for digital and the delete button!    

Last weekend we had a date night (thanks mom!) with the Baynes.  We love this couple!  Chris was in the Tallowood Bapt. youth group with Brad and we ran into them at church one Sunday a few weeks ago.  We were both finally able to round up babysitters on the same night and make it out of the house for bowling!

This past week, Chris instituted "Happy Thursday" day and brought home this beautiful bouquet of flowers!

That's about as exciting as our past week was.  I have a feeling this coming week will make up for it though....I must somehow manage to get this mess of a house cleaned before baby boy's party on Friday, make a cake for him (and make it cute!),  and pray that his birthday gift comes in the mail before the party......I am praying that my inner Martha Stewart makes an appearance this week!
