The week before last we celebrated an early Thanksgiving with my side of the family. My brother and sister-in-law and their son, Stayton, all came in town. Tradition in our home is for Thanksgiving day to be the official start of the Christmas season! Even though we were having Thanksgiving a week early, we stuck with tradition and decided to have Santa come visit Carson. I wish so bad that I could upload the video to the blog, but it won't let me. Pictures will have to do.
Carson talked all afternoon about seeing Santa and sitting on his lap. When Santa walked in the door though, all Carson could do was freeze and stare.
He wouldn't get anywhere near Santa, so we let sisters have a turn!
They loved it!
Then Stayton had to sit on Santa's lap {mind you, this was all to convince Carson that Santa was nice!}.
Finally, Santa busted out the gifts and gave Carson a new book.
This seemed to do the trick.
It was so much fun to see and hear his reaction to all of this! Each year, Christmas gets more and more fun with him!
What does your family do to begin the holiday season?

The best part about this is Stayton sitting on Santa's lap. He is SO big! I can't get over it!
