Sticking with the honesty theme here

Thank you so much for your sweet comments regarding my last post.  I've gotten several Facebook messages as well from other moms expressing how they feel the same way.  And I get it, I really do.  I have an amazingly blessed life.  You would never hear me say any different.  I also have a life with 4 small children.  And that equals a lot of work.
But you know what?  It felt nice last week to get on here and just be honest with people.  It was an outlet for me and I liked it.

So I will do it again tonight.

A few weeks ago I entered a contest on this blog. {it happens to be one of my favorite blogs out there} And you know what?  I won!
But before you think, oh what a lucky girl, let me inform you.
This wasn't a contest particularly suited to my tastes.
I entered it for my husband.
Why?
Because he is 100% boy.
Because he loves acting like a boy.
Because he loves potty-humor.
And because he secretly wishes he could act insane and do ridiculous things.
So when I saw this contest, I entered it for him.
And I won.
And then this came in the mail.
Yep, look closely.  Check out all those DVD's.  I lost count when he got to 10.  Because more than 10 of these DVD's in my house make me nervous.
Because it means that my husband will be having a movie watching marathon.
And laughing loudly while our kids are sleeping.
I'll rush in to shush him.
He'll die laughing and say, But babe!  You have to see this!!
I'll decline his offer, but I'll walk away and quietly smile.
Because I like to hear him laugh like that.
It makes me happy too.

So, back to the prize winnings...
Besides the loads os DVDs he got, the gift also included a hand written note from the Exec. Producer of the movies.
Y'all, this was a big deal for my man.  He was stoked :)!
And oh yeah, the gift included some toilet paper too.
Very appropriate.
And here he is.  So very excited about the winnings.
Now don't you think he owes me something for entering into a contest that only he would benefit from?
Yeah, I think so too.
I see a spa day in my very near future!

{and ladies, lest you think your husband is excluded from the Jaskass fanclub, I would lay money on the fact that he's probably seen one of these movies - or at least part of one - and probably during his fraternity boy college days.  Just ask him.  He'll know what you're talking about}

I can't believe I'm just now seeing this! I'm so glad your hubby enjoyed the DVDs. And what a sweet, sweet wife you are.

Thanks for posting about it. I'm so happy the giveaway went to someone who truly appreciated it. :)
