30 and Lovin' It!

So yesterday was my actual 30th birthday - I can't believe I am officially out of my 20's! Sad.
To make things better, Chris did a fantastic job on my gift!

This was my first task...complete the crossword puzzle to reveal my gifts...



Clue: This is Chris's nickname for Carson
Answer: Little man
Gift: Charm for my bracelet, a little man!


Clue: Place to buy high end kitchen products
Answer: Sur La Table (yeah!)
Gift: Set of gorgeous espresso cups and saucers for McDreamy (his life is chronicled here)


Clue: Popular women's bible teacher
Answer: Beth Moore (Amanda, props to your mom she made it on the puzzle!)
Gift: Breaking Free book


Clue: Chris doesn't like it when I stay too ______
Answer: Busy (this one had me stumped so I needed some help)
Gift: an organization book - um, excuse me, WHAT?!?

So yes, Chris did great on all the gifts, except maybe the last one. I mean, just look at the title. The Busy Mom's Guide to a Happy, Organized Home. HA! As if a book is going to make this home organized....hilarious! Check out some of the chapter titles:
Making Phone Time Count - huh? who has time to talk on the phone?
Conquer Paper Clutter - seriously? This woman must be a miracle worker!
Eliminating Smells and Odor - ok, so maybe she does have something worthwhile in the book...

Regardless, I will probably be returning this one, but I did get a good laugh. I could probably use the information in this book. But when this mama gets a chance to sit down and read, this is the LAST topic I want to read about!

Chris also took me out to a fantastic dinner and to the Galleria to do some shopping at Nordstrom (thank you parents-in-love for the gift card!).

And thank you Aunt Ashley for offering your babysitting services!

I also got this AMAZING necklace from my parents. It means so much to me because the diamond is a family heirloom. I love it!
