Lesson Learned.

The day before Chris and I left for Sedona, I decided I needed a new top to wear on the trip.  I dusted off the handy sewing machine and set out to make this:
I finished it just in time and was oh so proud of myself!
Got out the iron.
Pressed the top.
Snapped a quick picture.
Then tried it on.
My problem?  I should have tried it on before I finished all the seams and pressed it because once I tried it on, it looked like this!
Notice the ruffle in the sleeves?  It's not supposed to be there.  It's supposed to lay flat!
(by the way, I look pregnant in the picture above.  I am NOT.  Just a weird angle.)

Needless to say, my ambitious attempt to make a top for our trip didn't work out as planned.  Instead I took it to my grandma when I got home and had her fix it for me.
She has the time.
She doesn't have a toddler.
Plus, I was just too lazy to do it.
Go figure!

I can't judge you for your handiwork - looks good to me...I'd never even attempt! What I'm laughing at is you taking pictures of yourself in the mirror! :) Call me!
